Donald Covington Johnson

The Prophet’s Journey... Donald C. Johnson was born on September 8, 1972, in Lewes, Delaware to Bishop James and Evangelist Mary Alice Johnson. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, at their home in Millsboro, Delaware on Monday, July 5, 2021. Donald and Alisa were joined together in Holy matrimony on October 21, 1995. He often defined the love he had for his Beautiful, Brown-Eyed, Perky Lips, Sweet Dimpled, Sweeter Than Honey From A Honeycomb, Softer Than Silk, Finer Than Confectionery Sugar, Loving And Caring, Exquisite, Sophisticated, Educated, Anointed And Appointed, Unique, Virtuous, Courageous Sweetie Pie. Donald had a calling on his life from birth. God began to deal with him in visions and dreams. Showing him that it was time to step into his purpose, after accepting the will of God in 2004, he became the Shepherd of The House of Prayer, Healing for All Nations, also known as THOP. Donald labored faithfully for seventeen (17) years with the help of his wife Prophetess Alisa Johnson. Donald enjoyed fishing, singing playing the bass, keyboard and fixing anything that he could get his hands on. His “muffins” would tell him “you can fix anything Pop-pop,” especially when it came to vehicles and electronics. He also enjoyed playing NBA2K and riding atv’s with family and friends. His favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, about whom he often bragged. Because of his love of barbequing, he got the name “The Grill Master.” Due to Donald’s illness, Jayden and Kameron would often sit with him, helping in anyway they could. They loved taking care of their “Pop-Pop” and “Uncle Donald.” Donald was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Viola Johnson and James Shockley; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Anna Clara Chandler; brother, Peter Johnson; father-in-law, Woodrow Higgins; sister-in-law, Kim Goodman and two nephews, Kameron Chandler and Dortez McCray, Jr. In addition to his parents, Bishop James and Evangelist Mary Alice Johnson, Donald will be lovingly remembered by: his wife, Alisa Johnson of twenty-five (25) years; his children, Khalil (Shayla) Goodman, Tamika Goodman (Maurice Gale), Sammy Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Bryasia Feddiman and Valene (Ross) Garrison Holbrook; ten (10) brothers and sisters, James (Darlene) Chandler, Robert (Pamela) Chandler, Terrance (Julia) Johnson, Rebecca (Quintin) Dennis, Tabitha Brown, Lakedia (Cedric) Mumford, Marquis (Krytal) Johnson, Tanisha (Dortez) McCary, Jeremiah (Verne) Johnson and Zachariah (Krysta) Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Anthony (Couoyna) Goodman and Steven (Carolyn) Goodman; one sister-in-law, Allison Goodman; four grandchildren, Missie Goodman, Colin Goodman, Jayden Chandler and Jordan Chandler; three great-grand children, Audyn Morris, Ryder Dennis and Maela Dennis; his special sidekick, Michael Richards; three god children, Victoria West, Kameron Purnell and Latasha Fooks. His legacy will also be carried on by a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, loved ones, and The House of Prayer faithful members. “THOP … You Know!!!!
