Dennis C. Butler

Dennis Charles Butler was born on June 22, 1963 in Woodbury, New Jersey. He was the son of Leslie and Di Ann Butler, his mother who preceded him in death. Dennis had one brother, Leslie Butler, Jr., who also preceded him in death. Dennis was called home on September 11, 2015. Dennis is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda; daughters, Olivia, and Keshia; father, Leslie Butler; and a host of very special family members as well as a multitude of friends. Dennis was a devout Christian man who served and loved the Lord. He regularly attended Trinity Wesleyan Church. Dennis was a graduate of Camden High School and furthered his education with a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He also earned a Series E Stockbrokers License. Dennis spent his early years on the beaches of Atlantic City with his parents. While there, he developed his love of boating, fishing and a passion for the ocean which set his course for the remainder of his life. Dennis's early careers included Supervisory positions in the Atlantic City Casinos and as a Mortgage Broker. Feeling limited, he entered into an entrepreneurial realm that he developed, maintained and mastered. Dennis was most proud of his ability to own his own businesses and support himself and his family. As an accomplished trumpet and keyboard player, he was a jazz enthusiast and enjoyed a variety of music. Until his death, Dennis was a devoted husband, doting father, dedicated son and a great friend. He lived a leisurely life in Delaware, where he spent most recent years at his beach house with his daughter, Olivia and his wife, Linda; he also enjoyed boating and fishing. He developed a love of foreign cars from his father and owned more than a few. Dennis inherited his innate abilities from his mother; his unique spirit, his infectious laughter, engaging conversations and an abundance of knowledge on a variety of subjects. His passion for life and happiness was conveyed through his undaunting Christian beliefs continuously to his family and numerous friends and companions.
