Denise Rodd

“A time to be born” Denise Alexandria Rodd was born January 10, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Marshall Boone and Elva Oree. “Entering the arms of JESUS” In obedience to our Heavenly father, Denise peacefully responded to the Master’s call on July 28, 2013. “A time for every purpose under the HEAVEN” As a child, Denise attended Springfield High School in Queens, New York. In 1970, she began a career in the Meat Industry with the Waldbaums supermarket chain. Years later, Denise became a successful consultant and salesperson for Cameo Lingerie, a company that provided apparel that was specially designed for women who had survived breast cancer. Denise retired in 2008 and relocated to Dover, Delaware to care for her elderly mother. “Accepting Jesus Christ as Your Savior” Denise accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at an early age and, while still living in New York, she became a member of Amity Baptist Church where she regularly attended services. Denise later moved to New Jersey and joined Victory Baptist Church in Vauxhall, NJ under the leadership of Pastor Richard J. Pollard. After moving to Dover, Delaware Denise became a member of First Baptist Church of Cheswold, under the leadership of Pastor Philemon Hill, where she supervised the Children’s Breakfast Ministry. “A Time to LOVE” Everyone who had ever met "Neicey," knew her to be a loving, kind, considerate, cheerful and giving person. She carried these characteristics into every facet of her life, and those who knew her best will cherish those memories forever. "Neicey" will also be remembered for the delicious meals she prepared every holiday, and never hesitated to host family gatherings. “A Time to Mourn” She leaves to mourn . . . . . . . her only daughter Cheri Fraser from NY, New York, two sons Garry Fraser Jr., and Javon Rodd of New Jersey; one granddaughter, Tyliah Penn and four grandsons Tyshon Penn, Bashawn Mickens, Tyheem Penn, Elisha Fraser; seven nephews Anthony Mosely, Lamar Coit, Jimmy Reid, Jermaine Reid, James Mosely, Anthony (Two) Mosely, Curtis Brown; four nieces Malkiya Mosely, Lianna Coit, Meisha Mosely, and Alisse Brown; loving twin brother Dennis Boone NY, New York; a dear friend Alexander Hicks and many devoted family members and loving friends.
