Deborah’s Journey Deborah Yvonne Hill Brockenbrough, (better known as Debbie), was born on January 16, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Eddie Hill, Sr. and Norma Hill. She departed this life for her heavenly home on February 14, 2024. She received her education in the Philadelphia School District. Debbie accepted her Lord and Savior at a young age. In 1976, she met and married her former husband. She began motherhood and four beautiful daughters were born. Debbie loved being a mother and the Lord blessed her to be a loving and nurturing grandmother to 15 grandchildren as well. Debbie enjoyed cooking and serving for many family gatherings and special occasions while helping out wherever it was needed. Her charisma and care will truly be missed. Ms. Debbie had a strong passion for driving. Her work history included working for Handy Transportation as a School Bus Driver, City of Salisbury as a Street Sweeper Operator, Cherry Hill Construction as a Tandem Dump Truck Driver, Bluebird Driving School as an Instructor, Security at Doctors Community Hospital as an LT and Richard Hazel Youth Center as a Bus Driver until unfortunately her health issues caused her to give up her CDL's. Debbie was a faithful member of True Deliverance Holiness Church of Apostles Faith in Milford, DE under the leadership of Pastor Lendon Dennis, where she loved to praise and worship the Lord. She served as the Head Usher and also was a member of the Hospitality Committee. She also cooked for her church family and she will definitely be remembered for her meatloaf and commitment amongst other things. Debbie enjoyed serving in the house of the Lord, and helping create such a sacred place for those around. Debbie leaves to cherish loving memories: her daughters, Priscilla Wilson (Larry), Arnetia Brockenbrough, Yvonne Brockenbrough (fiancé Shawn Holden) and Jaquese Hill (Tajh Horsey); her grandsons, Daquan, Dasan, Karvon, Tyler, Kayvon, Anthony, Jakhi, Jasean, Javon and Jakobi; her granddaughters, Kayla and Amari, great-grandson, Tajah (TJ) her brothers, Eddie Hill, Jr. (Josette), Cornelius Hill and Norman Hill (Justine); her only sister, Ethel Blocker (Tyrone) and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends Preceding her rise to glory were her parents; her brothers, Eugene Hill and Kevin Hill and her grandson, JaQuan Johns.
