Davon T. Johnson

Davon Thomas Johnson, affectionately known as “Dada” to many, of Dover, Delaware (who would say he’s from Philly), passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was 27 years old. Davon was born in Milford, Delaware on April 3, 1991. He was the son of Marvin T. Burton Jr., and Constance D. Johnson. He attended Capital School District, graduating from Dover High School in 2009. He continued his education at Job Corp in Maryland, at Woodstock Job Corps Center, where he received his certificate in welding. He was employed at Dover Downs as a banquet setup attendant. Davon was also employed at Boscov’s as a cashier. Davon was an associate of the Thunderguards, MC. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and riding his high handle bar bike. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Davon was also the biggest Philadelphia Eagles, Sixers, Flyers and Phillies fan ever. He always had a big smile and an “EVERYTHING IS FINE” for everyone. Davon was a dedicated son, father, friend, cousin and most of all “BROTHER” to his little sister NeeNee, as she so passionately called him. To know Davon was to love Davon. Davon leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Constance D. Johnson; his dad, Ernest S. Dickerson Jr.; father, Marvin T. Burton Jr.; sister, Erniesha “NeeNee” Dickerson; brother, Zaaron Seals-Dickerson; grandparents, Irene Dickerson, Marvin T. Burton Sr., and Vivian Burton; two daughters, Princess Tiana Jenkins (8) and Da’Miah Touree Johnson (6), that he so passionately called “his Tuga”; siblings, Montrell Burton, Shakira Burton, Marvin Burton, III, Jaquesha Burton and Carlesha Burton; aunts and uncles, Sheila Johnson, Phyllis Russ, Ronald Harmon and his wife Karen, Brad and Sylvetta Lewis, Stacey Burton, Sarina Burton and Mark Burton. Davon will also be dearly missed by his godmother, Leiya Bullock and godbrothers, BJ Whitfield, Jr. and Deangelo “Booter” Gibson; godsister, Jazmine Miller; best friend, Joelonte “Lont” Bleen; and cousins, but more like brothers, Shakil and Marcus Miller. Additionally, Davon had a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Herbert and Bernice Johnson and Ernest S.
