David Wayne Waddler Jr.

David Wayne Waddler, Jr., of Magnolia, Delaware, was born on November 14, 1976, to JoAnne McMillion and David Wayne Waddler, Sr. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Bayhealth Medical Center. He was 39 years old. Dave, as he was affectionately known, grew up in Felton, Delaware, but loved spending time in Greenwood with his great-grandparents, the late Carl and Maggie Benson. He was a 1994 graduate of Lake Forest High School. Upon his graduation, Dave enlisted in the United States Army. Dave also attended Mt. Plymouth AME Church along with his mother and sister. Dave had a passion for masonry and concrete work. He was employed by BAM Masonry & Concrete for a number of years. After ending his employment with BAM Masonry, he worked for other masonry companies as a bricklayer. Dave was an outdoorsman. He loved working in his yard, barbecuing (especially for family get-to-gethers), playing with his grandchildren and eating. David was a compassionate and humble man who loved spending time with family and friends. Most people called him David or “Dave”, but he was given other names by his family and friends, such as: “D.J.”, “Lefty”, “Pap-Pap” and “Bobby”. He was preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Waddler, III, his grandmother, Queen Esther McMillion, his maternal great-grandparents, Carl and Maggie Benson and his paternal grandfather, Walter Waddler, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Annette Haith-Waddler, his children, Jacqueline Harris, Justin Harris (Myah), Danayshia Harris, Davon Waddler; Isaac White (Caitlin), Tremaine Haith (Nadia), Allisa Haith, Domier Burton, Kyra Burton and Kayla Burton; his loving and devoted parents, Reverend JoAnne McMillion Holder and step-father, Edward (“Leroy”), his father, David Waddler, Sr.; his sisters, Cristina M. Holder (fiance Darrell) and Krista Terry; his grandmother, Dorothy Gayle (Ashley); his aunts, Ernestine M. Thompson, Jacqueline L. McMillion, Carolyn Watson (Clement), Faye Crenshaw (Ernest), Cathy Murphy (William), and Betty Waddler; his uncles, Robert L. McMillion (Valerie), Marvin J. McMillion, James A. McMillion (Sharon), Austin B. McMillion (Ruth), Walter Waddler, Jr. (Phyllis), Walter Waddler, III; his brother-in-law, Dwain Haith; five grandchildren; Kasean, Khyreem, Isaac (Pop), Romeo (Fats) and Za’vea; his Thunderguard brothers and a host of cousins, and devoted friends.
