Dante Lamont Whaley

DANTE’S JOURNEY Dante Lamont Whaley, at the age forty-four (44), gained his wings on December 8, 2024 at Coastal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury, Maryland. He was born to Sherry Ann Briddell and the late Timothy Lee Whaley, Sr. on August 28, 1980 in Salisbury, Maryland. Dante attended Wicomico Senior High in Salisbury, Maryland. He was a caring and loving individual who loved to help within his community. His commitment and dedication led to him being a prominent member in organizations throughout Salisbury, Maryland and beyond. He was a devoted member to his auto club, Drag Different.” Within this organization, he was the prospect manager, a title he loved and enjoyed. Dante, affectionately known as “Tay”, loved participating in events like feeding the community in and around surrounding cities and he also loved participating in parades. With his fellow car club members, he enjoyed the kid’s interactions when he would bring “Bob” out to ride for events. Tay’s Car better known as “Bob”, was his pride and joy and he always made sure “Bob” was in tip top shape. rain or shine, “Bob” was clean. Memories of Dante’s life and legacy will be cherished by: his mother, Sherry Briddell of Salisbury, Maryland; his two sisters, Patrice Whaley and Sharina Whaley and his big brother Timothy Whaley, Jr. (Rasheema), all of Salisbury, Maryland. His son, Ra’Quan Whaley (Jamya) and his two grandchildren, Ry’Leigh and Ra’mari Whaley, remain to carry on his legacy. He was the father figure to four other children whom he cared for and loved. He is also survived by: six uncles, Bishop Marcus Briddell (Eleanor), Alonzo Briddell (Lola), Anthony Briddell, Ronnie Perry and Wayne Ringgold, all of Salisbury, Maryland and Greg Whaley of Delmar, Maryland and three aunts, Mary Ringgold, Michelle Dozier, Catherine Briddell, all of Salisbury, Maryland. Dante was an amazing and loving uncle to a host of nieces and nephews who adored him tremendously. Also leaves to cherish a close& dear friend Antonio Harmon Dante was preceded in death by father, Timothy Lee Whaley, Sr., his aunt, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Whaley and his grandmother, Grace Mae King.
