Cloteal Michelle "Tina" Bumbrey (Richardson)

Cloteal Michelle Bumbrey-Richardson, affectionately known as Tina, was born on December 31, 1960 to the late Robert and Dorothy Bumbrey in Camden, NJ. Tina departed from this life surrounded by her devoted family on September 22, 2018 at Kent General Hospital. Tina earned her high school diploma from Polytech High School in Woodside, DE at the age of 47. Furthering her education, she obtained her Associates Degree in Psychology at the University of Phoenix and was working towards her Bachelor’s Degree at Colorado Technical University before she passed. She had a passion for helping others and put the needs of others before her own. She also had a passion for cleaning. She worked in the housekeeping field for the majority of her life, teaching others how to clean and being a peer mentor on her job. Even though she wasn’t able to work, she continued to clean at home, as well as crochet blankets and pillows for friends and family members. She was famous for her love for Mountain Dew and Newports, which she later traded for Ginger Ale and Dunkin Donuts coffee. Tina looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, staying up all night laughing, making jokes, talking, and doing nails and hair with her granddaughters. Making friends was never a hard thing for her. She would make a friend wherever she went because she always had an encouraging word or piece of advice for someone. After 30 years of courtship, Tina married the Love of her life, Eugene Richardson on March 22, 2008. Tina’s family considered her to be a rock. She was reliable, dependable, and put the needs of others before her own. She sacrificed her wants and needs for her children to have what she never had. Her family is comforted by the fact that she is no longer suffering. On September 19, 2018, she rededicated her life to God. She was loved unconditionally and will truly be missed. Tina was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorothy; her sisters Ruth, Ruby, and Robin; her brothers Louis, Norris, and Ronald; her daughter Sharon and son Markquell; and her niece Lisa. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Eugene Richardson, Jr.; children Naquan, Sidney, Regina, Monica, and Julius; stepchildren Robert, Eugene, Diana, and Antonio; brothers Robert Jr., Ricardo, and Keith; sister Ursula; son-in-law LaVarr; daughters-in-law Alexis, Trinette, and RaTonya; grandsons Tyion, Qualeak, Amir, Julius, Julien, Malachi, Tylen, and Jai’Cyon; granddaughters Shaimere, Tashayna, Sanaa, Deasia, Samiyah, and Jurnee; Aunt Elaine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special family and friends.
