Clarence Wayne Trader

CWT Clarence Wayne Trader Sr. was surrounded by his loving family when he went home to Glory on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, in Salisbury, Maryland. Clarence, the son of the late Clarence V. Trader and Lucille J. Marshall Trader was born in Frankford Delaware, May 1, 1952. At the age of thirteen, he was welcomed to the home of his Uncle William (Cigar) and Aunt Mary Sadberry in Pittsville, Md “CT” as he was affectionately known, graduated from Pittsville High School, class of 1970. After graduating, CT joined the United States Army and served for three years. While serving he did a tour in Korea and afterwards received an honorable discharge. The majority of his employment years were with Showell Poultry Farms. After Showell, he enjoyed several years in the field of construction. CT was joined in holy matrimony to Doreen Amos in 1979. From this union God blessed them with six beautiful children. At an early age CT joined Glasshill United Methodist Church and later transferred his membership to Mt. Calvary Holiness Church, both located in Parsonsburg Md. The latter part of CT’s Christian walk was worshiping at New Dimensions Family Ministries under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Jesse E. C. Abbott. He embraced and loved everything about life and his family. His nine grandchildren and his great grandson brought him so much joy. He enjoyed boxing and sparing. To CT, his clean black Dodge Plymouth “Bad News” was priceless. CT leaves cherished memories with his wife Doreen, three daughters; Kelly (Christopher) Hankerson, of Salisbury MD., Rianya and Brianya of Fruitland, Md. Three sons; Jamel and Trevon of Fruitland Md., Clarence Jr. of Salisbury Md; One brother Eric Trader, two sisters, Glenda (Gene) Garrison and Sharon (Glen) Armstrong all of Salisbury, Md. His precious grandchildren; Tianya, Ja’Bre, Kristin, Christopher and Ashanti Hankerson, Tyana, Trezure, Ty’Jae, and Cayden Trader; a great grandson, Noah Caldwell. Also cherishing his memory is his dear Aunt Barbara Marshall, Dover Delaware, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was grateful to have by his side, a devoted caregiver Coya Williams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Nina L. Trader.
