Obituary Charles Edward Snowden, Jr. (Fugie), son of the late Charles E. Snowden, Sr. and Jacqueline Johnson Snowden, was born on June 3, 1951 in Olney, Maryland. He transitioned to be with the Lord on May 11, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He received his education in Montgomery County Public School System and served in the Military (Army) Prior to his retirement he was employed by Orkin Pest Control in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Charles married the love of his life, friend, and companion Bonita and from this marriage they have two stepchildren, Austin Torney, Jr. and Adrienne Simpson. They also have two adopted children, Modesta Piedra and Margarita Piedra. Charles was a true friend and devoted family member. He enjoyed family gatherings and his favorite football team was the Redskins. He loved fishing, reading, cooking, dancing, and singing on the Men’s Choir at Faith AME church in Laurel Maryland. He also served as President of the Usher Board. Charles is known in his Church Family as the singing Usher. The Ushers at the church are Charlies Angels. Charles made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Gregory Snowden, Tyrone Snowden, Gail Snowden and Karen Dixon. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Bonita, two stepchildren; Austin Torney, Jr. and Adrienne Simpson; two adopted children, Modesta Piedra and Margarita Piedra; eighteen siblings, Anthony Snowden ( Patricia), Keith Snowden (Katherine), Dawn Cotton (Chris), Howard Clark, William Bright ( Virgie, Goria Porter (Clarence), Debbie Wiggins ( Eric), Debra Dorsey, Lorna Ritchie, Muriel Troxler (Gary), Charles Dorsey (Charlene), Marcus Roy (Jephonne) Kevin Dorsey, Karen King, Travis Burrell,, LaRon Johnson (Antonio), Jay Johnson and Molly Fowler (Mark), he also leaves a devoted friend, Pops William Dorsey (Debra), one sister-in-law, Beverly Wright, four brothers-in-law, George Wright (Faye), Eric Wright, James Jewett (Constance), Keith Wright ( Lucia) his partner in crime, one aunt, Mary Queen, and a host of nieces, Nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
