Brian Lester Coston

Brian Lester Coston, son of the late Emily Elizabeth Coston and Lester P. Conner, was born on September 24, 1963 in Salisbury, Maryland. He peacefully departed this life for his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 following a valiant fight during his illness. In 1981, Brian graduated from Snow Hill High School in Snow Hill, Maryland. While a student there, he sang in the school choir and enjoyed playing tennis whenever he found the time. Brian also attended Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown, Delaware, pursuing his passion in the medical field. During his younger years and into adulthood, Brian was a baptized member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snow Hill, Maryland under the leadership of the late Reverend John Woods. Given his passion for singing, he was an active member of the Young Adult Choir. In 2010, Brian became a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Princess Anne, Maryland under the leadership of Reverend Carroll Mills. He remained an active and faithful member until he was no longer able to attend, rendering his service to God by singing with the Men of Purpose and serving as an Usher, cheerfully greeting everyone who entered the church. Brian will always be remembered for his melodious rendition of “I Am Redeemed” because he sang from the depths of his heart. One of his favorite hymns was “Take Me To the King.” To know Brian was to love him. He was one of the most loving, caring and giving individuals you would ever meet. He was very much a family man who would do anything he could for anybody, especially his sister Holly and her children. Brian loved to cook and had a passion for cars, clothes and a special knack for interior design. Precious memories will be cherished by: his sister, Holly Conner of Salisbury, Maryland and her children, his loving nieces and nephews—Katoya Coston, Frederick Coston III, BreElle Coston, Damon Conner, Camry Conner, Lurese Conner, Ziyere Conner, Mikayla Sellers and Zion Conner; his first cousins who were raised as his siblings—Hilda Manuel of Salisbury, Maryland, William “Sonny” Manuel (Melissa) of Snow Hill, Maryland, Raythel (Sissy) Manuel of Berlin, Maryland, Rochelle Coston-Hinmon (Corey, Sr.) of Snow Hill, Maryland, Tysheika Coston of Salisbury, Maryland and DeLaJawon Coston of Salisbury, Maryland; two great nephews, Jace Buren and King Coston; one great niece, KaRiyah Coston; maternal grandparents Sherman and Hilda Johnson Coston; aunt Shirley Coston of Snow Hill, Maryland; uncle and aunt, Sherman Coston, Jr. and Aileen Coston of Laurel, Maryland, his maternal great uncle, Gordy Johnson of Wilmington, Delaware and a host of other cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his aunt Drucilla Coston Manuel and uncle Andrew J. Coston.
