Blease Rumerleon White Jr.

After fifty-one years of life, Blease Rumerleon White, Jr. transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Blease was born on Monday, May 8, 1967, in Milford, Delaware, to the late Blease and Essie White, Sr. of Lane, South Carolina. He attended Dover High School in Dover, Delaware, and later studied at Orleans Technical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After relocating to Oxford, North Carolina, Blease joined the New Hope Baptist Missionary Church. He was an active member serving as an usher and singing in the choir. Upon his return to the North East, Blease became a member of the Bethlehem of Deliverance Church located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, under the leadership of Pastor David and Dianne Jones. While there, he continued to pursue his love of singing by joining their choir as well. In addition to his love of the Lord and singing, Blease had a passion for cooking. Over the years, he developed exceptional skills in the culinary arts industry. He always had a strong work ethic and as a result of his many years of culinary experience, Blease was blessed with a position as one of the head chefs at Dover Downs, located in Dover, Delaware. In his spare time, Blease would often volunteer to assist the elderly with various tasks. He also enjoyed watching football and absolutely LOVED the Philadelphia Eagles. However, most of all, Blease adored his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He had a bubbly spirit, a unique laugh and was an overall happy person. Blease will truly be missed by many. Blease was preceded in death by his parents, Blease, Sr., and Essie White; a sister, Patricia A. Saini; and a brother, Joseph White. He leaves to cherish his memories, four daughters, Nichelle S. Crain and Nyheja Johnson of Dover, DE, Mariah George of Greenville, NC and Alexis Danae White of Steubenville, OH; one son, Blease White (Shante) of Fort Valley, GA, six grandchildren, Nlaysia Pierce, Nasir Pierce, Nishawn Pierce, Nasai Brown of Dover, DE, Shelby White and Blake White of Fort Valley, GA; five brothers, Herbert Lee (Nedra) Shaw of Decatur, GA, Raymond (Sherry) White of Ellendale, DE, Herbert White of Dover, DE, Kenneth R. (Evette) White of Ellendale, DE, and Solomon (Marilyn) White of Dagsboro, DE; four sisters, Theadora White of Dover, DE, Thelma R. (Philip) Dixon of Felton, DE, Velma R. (Wesley) White-Blount of Dover, DE and Falishia R. (Keith) Callwood of Dover, DE. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
