Barbara Jean Dorman

Barbara Jean "Hutt" Dorman was born on October 30, 1946 in Salisbury, Maryland to the late Ralph Dorman and Hazel Hutt. She entered into her eternal rest on July 29, 2015. Barbara graduated from Salisbury High School (now known as Salisbury Middle School) in 1965. In 1966,she became the proud mother of a beautiful baby girl, named Sophia Dorman (named after Sophia Loren). Barbara relocated to Wilmigton, Delaware in 1966, where she remained for over 14 years, she returned to Salisbury in the 80's. Barbara was a gifted, creative, and talented individual, who enjoyed sewing, re-upholstery, decorating, and cooking. She especially enjoyed quality time spent talking and laughing with her daughter, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Additionally, she enjoyed having a good time with other family and friends at various events. Barbara was a fun and loving individual who always put the need of others before her own. If anyone was ever homeless or hungry, Barbara was there for them. Barbara recieved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and fellowshipped at Greater Grace Fellowship Ministries under Apostle Jackson. Barbara leaves to celebrate her life, her loving daughter, Sophia Dorman; two sisters , Linda (Paul) Deal (Salisbury), and Delores Gross (New York); one sister-in-law, Blanche Dunnum (Wilmington); four nieces Lynette Bell (Reistertown), Gernelle "Nellie" Barber, Latrail "Sugar Pebbles" Dunnum (Wilmington); three nephews, Maurice "Maverick" Dorman (Delmar, Curtis Barber, Anthony Dunnum (Wilmington) Robert "PJ" Dunnum (Wilmington); four grandchildren, Tyron "Ty" Butts (Salisbury) Ramesha "Mesha" Dorman (Baltimore), Lamar "Wayne" Dorman (Chaquita; Salisbury), and LaBryant "Brother" Dorman (Seattle) two special grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Mom-Mom" Ash-Lyn Randolph and Karon Neal (Severn); a very talented great granddaughter, Kaliyah "Pooh" Tibbs (Baltimore), a chubby, happy great-grandson, Chance Watkins; two life-long friends, Jamie Minton and Mary West Salisbury; a devoted friend, Catherine Franklin; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Pierre and Anthony "Pee Wee" Hutt, one sister, Willie Mae Hutt, and a sister-in-law, Vernelle "Bootsie" Hutt.
