Audrey Grace Price

You are not forgotten, loved one Nor will you ever be; As Long as Life and Memory Last We Will Remember Thee. Audrey Grace Price, the daughter of the late Harris VonRussell Purnell, Sr and Addie Johnson Purnell, was born on April 19, 1966 in Newark, MD. She gained her wings at the age of fifty-eight (58) and departed this life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home in Salisbury, MD. Audrey received her formal education in the public schools of Wicomico County. She was a proud graduate of Wicomico Senior High School, Class of 1984 where she was involved in DECA and during her Senior Year, she was a part of the Homecoming Court. She attended classes at Wor Wic Community College where she studied Business Administration. Audrey held various jobs throughout her lifetime to include the Chase Bank of Maryland, Bank of Delmarva, Manager at Rite Aid and assisting her parents with their Airport Baggage Business. On June 16, 2003, Audrey married Joseph Price in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, NV. Audrey was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Salisbury, MD where she was baptized by the Reverend Dr. M. Luther Hill, but on many Sundays, you could find her in the congregation of Emmanuel Church in Salisbury, MD where she enjoyed the service and activities. Audrey possessed a loving, kind and jovial spirit. Her love for family and friends was felt on many occasions, especially when she hosted Thanksgiving Dinner each year. She would start gathering items early in preparation for a day of food, fun and fellowship. Audrey’s happiest moments were the birth of her children and grandchildren. Spending quality time with her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally, Audrey wanted nothing more than their happiness. They were her life and brought nothing but joy to her soul. Audrey held a special bond with many of her Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, God Children, Brionna Thompson, Tahira Roberts and Kenuway Jones and a Special Bonus Brother, Peter Conti-Brown. In addition to her husband, Joseph Price, she leaves to cherish fond memories: her children, Don Sample, Jr. and Jasmin Price (Trenell Boyd); her mother, Addie Purnell; five grandchildren, Isabella, Maddox and Sidney Sample and Legend and Legaci Boyd; her siblings, Frank, Harris, Jr., Starr and Douglas, Sr. (Lisa) Purnell and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Father-in-Law, Jerry Price, other relative and close friends. Audrey was preceded in death by: her father, Harris Purnell, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Walter and Margie Johnson; paternal grandparents, Preston and Amanda Cherry and George T. Purnell and her mother-in-law, Viola Price.
