Astrud's Journey Astrud Lauren Messiah-Webb peacefully departed this life on August 1, 2026, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland, at the age of 58. Born on January 25, 1968, in the beautiful twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, Astrud was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Messiah and Judith Seecharan. She graduated from San Juan Secondary School in 1984. During her high school years, Astrud met the love of her life, Carl A. Webb. She was just 17 years old, and Carl was 19. What began as young love blossomed into a beautiful and lasting relationship filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. After years of growing together, Astrud and Carl united in marriage on July 6, 1997, continuing the lifelong journey they had begun as teenagers. Astrud built a respected career as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist and was admired by her colleagues at Laurel Regional Hospital for her professionalism, dedication, and compassionate spirit. She was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend whose heart was always open to helping others. Astrud loved listening to Reggae music and found great comfort in hymns and the Word of God. One of her favorite songs was "Up Where We Belong." Her warm smile, gentle nature, and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She possessed a remarkable ability to encourage others and touch lives with kindness and grace. Astrud leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving mother, Judith Seecharan; her devoted husband, Carl Webb; her brother, Handell Messiah; her sister, Prudence Messiah; her sisters-in-laws, Monica Cole-James, Donna Webb-Knott, Natalie Webb Lewis, Alicia Webb, Roxanne Webb-Sealey, Candy Webb, and Sandra Cole; brother-in-law Kerwyn Cole; her beloved nieces and nephews; her aunts, Bernice Seecharan-Griffith, Ava Listhrop, Lauretta Seecharan, Pearl Messiah, Stephanie White, and Jennifer Messiah; her uncles, Sydney Messiah, Reuben Seecharan, Dick Seecharan, and Joseph Seecharan; along with a host of cousins from the Seecharan, Messiah, Alexander, and Lewis families. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Messiah; her beloved children; her sister-in-law, Kathy-Ann; her aunt, Olive Seecharan; her uncles, Kent Seecharan and Carl Seecharan; her maternal grandparents, Carmen and Joseph Seecharan; and her paternal grandparents, Doris Jackson and Lionel Messiah. Astrud's beautiful spirit, unwavering faith, generous heart, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
