Anthony Tyrell West

Anthony Tyrell West, the son of Kim R. West and Anthony Brown, departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2021. Anthony, better known as “Ant-Man”, “Mr. West”, “Antz” and “Mr. Anthony”, was born on July 4, 1988. He was 33 years old. Anthony was educated at Howard T. Ennis School in Georgetown, Delaware. Anthony attended Easter Seals in Georgetown, Delaware and Dove Pointe in Salisbury, Maryland. He was cared for at home for the past three years by his nurse, Guy Serge Pierre-Louis. Anthony had two favorite uncles that helped care for him, Myron West and William West. Anthony loved his mom, Mr. Art, family and music, especially Beyoncé. Anthony was loving and kind. He also had an infectious smile that everybody loved. He loved to play possum with you and roll his eyes. Anthony attended Mt. Calvary African Methodist Episcopal Church in Seaford, Delaware, where he enjoyed listening to the choir sing and listening to Ms. Rosemary play the piano. He would shake his fist while they were singing. Anthony was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Charles H. Laws, Sr. and Alfred Drayton, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents, Hattie and Henry West; and his godfather, Tyronne West. Anthony leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Kim West of Seaford, DE; stepfather, Arthur Wright of Ellendale, DE; his father, Anthony Brown of Delmar, DE; maternal grandmothers, Diane Drayton of Seaford, DE and Edna Laws of Georgetown, DE; paternal grandparents, William and Delcine Brown of Delmar, DE; one sister and three brothers, Gia Brown of Dover, DE, Daquan and Emmanuel Brown both of Hagerstown, MD and Onyx Brown of Delmar, DE; five aunts and three uncles, Katara and Nasheena Drayton both of Seaford DE, Sierra Laws of Georgetown, DE, April Brown of Salisbury, MD, Drayna West of Atlanta, GA, Alfred Drayton, Jr. (Shirley) of Seaford, DE, Valder Drayton Georgetown, DE and Charles H. Laws, Jr. (Carlita) of Georgetown, DE; five god sisters, Tisha Deshields, Tiffany Wallis, Tyra West, Javon and Jezet Johnson; three god brothers, Brett Cannon, Lewis Milligan and Christian Cook; four great aunts, Gladys Briggs of Seaford, DE, Correne Ross of Seaford, DE, Joanne West (Wayne) of Seaford, DE and Josephine Drayton (Layton) of Bridgeville, DE; six great-uncles, Orlando Palmer, Martin West (Vanee), Myron West and William West (Maria) all of Seaford, DE, Cornelius West (Diane) of Columbia, MD and Forrest West (Timah) of Seaford, DE; and a host of cousins and friends.
