Anthony Deal

Well done, thy good and faithful servant! Anthony Deal, son of Shirley Hutt and Clyde Deal was born on July 4, 1969. Anthony transitioned into the Father’s arms on January 7, 2024. Anthony was educated in Somerset County public school systems and graduated from Washington High School, class of 1987. After graduation, Anthony enlisted in the United States Marine Corps November 10, 1987. His MOS was Field Artillery Cannoneer. During his service, he was awarded the Rifle Expert Badge, Letter of Appreciation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Sea Service Development Ribbon. After receiving an honorable discharge from the military, Anthony became employed with BAE Systems at Wallops Island, Virginia until his health declined. Anthony accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and attended his family church, St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church. Anthony’s favorite scripture was Psalms 121. He loved to hear this scripture being read to him during his illness which brought him consolation in knowing that God was with him. Anthony was a proud member of East Gate Masonic Lodge #65, Princess Anne, MD and The Walter Polk American Legion Post 132, Princess Anne, MD. He was an avid sports enthusiast, a movie buff, and a great cook (especially his specialty, Goat). He enjoyed spending time with family and friends by hosting holiday get togethers at his home. Precious and loving memories of Anthony’s life will be cherished by his daughter Taylor Hopkins; son De’Angelo Deal; identical twin brother Antonio Deal; sister Tomeka Teagle; sister-friend Valerie Cottman; granddaughter Dream Hall; grandson Kyziah Fisk; special Aunt Doris Saunders; special cousins Roy Deal, Terrance (Crackerjack) Armwood, Charles (Junie) Hutt, Jr., Milton (Tuffy) Collins; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and a host of other cousins and cherished friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Annie Mae Hutt and his paternal grandparents Emma and Charles Deal, Sr. Anthony’s gentle heart, loving spirit, and genuine interest for others will forever be imprinted in our hearts.
