Andrew Lamont Snead

Life Reflections Andrew Lamont Snead, son of Josephine and the late David H Snead Sr., of Stockton, Maryland, was the youngest of four children, was born in Salisbury Maryland on October 20, 1967. He was called to his eternal rest suddenly on July 5, 2020. “Lamont,” Drew, and Andrew as he was affectionately called, was a graduate of the Snow Hill High School Class of 1986, where he played football and baseball. He was employed at several area companies, Showell’s Poultry Plant, Campbell Soup Company and Kelly’s Dog Food plant in Berlin, where he retired due to illness in 2012. He was a lifelong member of Coolspring United Methodist Church where he had received salvation some time ago. After his weekly appointments at DaVita Dialysis in Berlin, Maryland, he could be found at home in the back room watching sports and TV all day. And later sharing time with a small group of selected friends. After the death of his father Andrew was considered a “Home Body” living home with his Mother. They were like “two peas in a pod”. He was company for her, ran errands and sometimes took her to appointments when needed. He also loved to play with and pick on his younger nieces and nephews during family gatherings. Andrew was very shy and a person of few words but a big heart, so when he said, “I love you”, you could feel that it came from deep within. Andrew had one son, he called “Dee” he loved him very much and had grown very close to. He leaves to cherish fond memories: His son, DeAndrae Snead of Morrisville North Carolina, three sisters, Golinda (Rufus) Johnson of Salisbury, Maryland, Della (Alphonso) Roberts of New Castle, Delaware, Patricia Harmon of Wilmington, Delaware, one sister-n-law, Marilyn Snead of Cambridge, Maryland, one brother, David Shockley of Hagerstown, Maryland, one uncle and several aunts and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as a long and dear friend that was with him to the very end, Ivory Jenkins of Stockton, Maryland. Preceding him in death, his brother David Lee Snead, and Grandmother Evelyn Snead.
