Shan-Non Lavon Gloster

Shan-non Lavon Gloster “Baby Boy”, passed away on 31 August 2020, at his residence, with his mother by his side, in Preston, Maryland. Shan-non was born 7 January 1981, at 3:00 p.m., the same time General Hospital came on, at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. He was the youngest son of the late Cleveland Gloster, Jr. and Nettie A. Jones Gloster, of Preston, Maryland. At four months of age, Shan-non developed seizures so the family relocated to Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, where he attended Talbot County Schools, until the family moved to Preston, Caroline County, Maryland. He then attended Denton Elementary School, until graduation. Shannon was a member of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston, Maryland. Shan-non loved to run, eat, drink, laugh, listen to music, watching pretty girls and looking at trees. He always had a water bottle, cup and a ball in his hands, sometimes all at once. He did not keep shoes on his feet, yet he would slap them on the floor for fun. Shan-non was preceded in death by his father, Cleveland Gloster, Jr. Shan-non leaves to cherish his fond memory, his mother, Nettie A. Gloster of Preston, MD; two brothers, Lamont Gloster (Mel) of Preston, MD and Sha-Mel Gloster of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Laneika Gloster of Preston, MD; grandmother, Ruth T. C. Jones, of Preston, MD; four great aunts, Carrie Price of Quantico, MD, Lily Belle Bradley of Blackville, SC and Idallas Steed and Mary Elizabeth Miles, both of Philadelphia, PA; one great uncle, Harry Cartwright of Charlotte, NC; two uncles, Keith Jones of Preston, MD and Jerry Gloster (Marleney) of Harlem, NY; six aunts, Vanessa Duncan (Robert) of Preston, MD, Bernet Jones of Hurlock, MD, Vernetta Conaway (Reginald) and Teresa Murray (Vernon) of Federalsburg, MD, Mabelle Gloster (Alfonzo) of Brooklyn, NY and Dianne Williams (Michael) of Blackville, SC; three nieces, Shanyrah Gloster (Kevin) of Easton, MD, La’Maya Gloster of Cambridge, MD and Jasmine Gloster of Hurlock, Maryland; two great-nieces, Seniyah and Kaouri Lee of Easton, MD; extended family; brothers, Robert Kelley, Louis Flamer and Shane Bell; niece Jakela Ennals and nephews, Jakhai Perry, Jayden Dashiell and Prince Ennals; and a host of cousins.
