Rose Evans

On July 21st 1934, God gave Rosa Lee Evans to this world and on July 1st 2013 God decided to call his child home. Born to Cora Lue Hall and Carroll Jackson in West Palm Beach, Florida. Rosa was raised in Rockyford, Georgia and being 1 of 10 children was no stranger to hard work or cooking for numerous people which she loved to do. The dedication and loyalty Rosa had when it came to family, values, and morals she instilled in the many generations to follow. After completing 12 years of schooling, Rosa traveled between Georgia and Florida taking God with her every step of the way. Eventually Rosa found herself in Delaware where she worked at King Cole and lived out the remainder of her days. In 1960, Rosa met Willie Author King the man who would become the father of her two children Jennifer Annette King and Areatha Yvonne Turner. Rosa actively raised and played a part in the development of not only her children but also her grand children Roselaine Renee Pierre and Raymond Pierre Jr. and great grand children Raymond Pierre 3rd, Yvonne Lee Nock and Rayanna Kay Pierre but also with those who became her extended family Theresa King, Pamela King and Willie Author King Jr. In the early 1970's, Rosa married Tommy Lee Evans and continued to do what she did best cook and teach as her family became even bigger. Rosa brought joy to anyone who came in contact with her. Her new marriage brought new opportunity for Rosa to touch the lives of others and for others to get to know and love this amazing woman. Anyone who met Rosa fell in love with her smile, laugh, personality and the way she kept you guessing by not knowing what she would say. Because of these things Rosa developed and embraced a truly extended family that she loved and whom loved her. Attending church, learning and knowing about God was extremely important to Rosa. She found a home at Jesus Is Lord Church of Deliverance under Apostle Bigelow. Rosa attended church faithfully and enjoyed the many people she came to know. Rosa was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Areatha Yvonne Turner, husband Tommy Evans sister-in-law Ruth Deshields and brother-in-Iaws Alton Evans and Isaac Grier. Rosa is survived by: Jennifer Taylor (daughter), Roselaine Pierre and Raymond Pierre (grand children) Raymond Pierre 3rd, Yvonne Nock, Rayanna Pierre (great grand children) ,Mary Alice Lewis, Trudy Lott, Pinkie Robinson, Selma Marie Jones, Dorothy Jackson, Annie White, Martha Evans, and Mary Jennings (sister-in laws), Welton Evans and Felton Evans (brother-in-laws},Lisa Evans, Ruby Evans, Brenda Evans-Mason, and Barbara Brown (Nieces) Welton Evans Jr., Alphonso Evans, and Elton Brown (Nephews). Along with a long host of loved ones that span many generations.
