Jalil Ross

Jalil Rahiam aka "Juice" Ross, age 27, departed this life on Monday, May 12, 2014. Jalil was born on Tuesday, May 5, 1987 at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford, Delaware to Terry Ross of Laurel, Delaware and Warren Sumlin of Newark, Delaware. He is survived by ten siblings: India Clark of Laurel, Delaware, Ashmere Hendrickson of Pennsylvania, Donte Hudson, Ricky Blake of Lower Delaware, Jahiem Sumlin of Newark, Delaware, Diodora, Ricky, Antonio, Kasha and Zanda Sanalonia all of Laurel, Delaware. He attended Laurel Senior High School. In addition to his parents, Jalil leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, T'miya Jacobs, 9, of Laurel, Delaware and Alissa Kellearn, 9 of Bridgeville, Delaware; two special nieces, J'liyah Clark and Amelia Clark Farmer of Laurel, Delaware; grandparents, Althea and Warren Johnson of Laurel, Delaware and Warren and Barbara (deceased) Sumlin of Rehoboth, Delaware; two aunts, Theresa Ross and Rolanda Ross of Laurel, Delaware; Ukethere Ross whom he also called aunt; three special cousins, Jermaine Pitts of San Diego, California, Tykee Pitts and Treyvon Ross both of Laurel, Delaware, whom he called his brothers; also Josh Gordy, Michael Wescott, Tyke Hill and Kionte Cuffee whom he also considered his brothers; a special cousin, Shalonda Ross of Dagsboro, Delaware whom he called his sister; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; a best friend, Tacara Dixon of Laurel, Delaware and special friends. He was preceded in death by his great- grandparents, Russell & Johnnie Mae Bell and two cousins, Tashawn Pitts and Makayla Snead. Jalil was an awesome son, brother, grandson, father and loyal friend. He always did for others but most of all he loved his children. If he could give them the world, he would, but mostly he wanted them to know that he loved them. I'll never forget when he got that bike, I hated it from the beginning, but I got over it because I knew it was something he loved. I would say every time he left, "Be careful or I am going to beat Josh and your behind", and they would laugh and say "OK, Mom". I am going to miss you, son, you were loved by so many and loved so many. I am at peace because I know that you loved me and you know that I loved you. Rest on my son.
