George Earl Perkins

George Earl Perkins, son of the late Harry F. Perkins and Louise Camper Perkins, was born on April 5, 1941, in Greenwood, Delaware. He transitioned from this life on June 19, 2017 in Maryland. George received his early education in Greenwood, Delaware. After the family relocated to Townsend, Delaware, he attended Lee’s Chapel & Louis L. Redding in Middletown, Delaware, graduating in 1959. George was a manager at Foreman Brothers for many years and did home improvements part-time. He was always offering a lending hand with the remodeling of different projects in the community. George was a great man and touched the lives of many that he came in contact with. He was known for his sense of humor and having a good heart. He took pride in how he dressed and enjoyed attending social gatherings. In his leisure he enjoyed watching football, fishing, hunting, and visiting with family and friends. He was generous to all with his time, knowledge and talents. During football season you would find George watching his favorite team Dallas Cowboys. He will always be known as a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. George, you are gone, but will live on in our memories. We will miss those gorgeous blue-gray eyes of yours, always looking at us, watching and observing. George was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy J. Johnson; seven brothers, James Camper, Harry J. Perkins, Millard L. Perkins, Norman F. Perkins, Robert E. Perkins, Randolph Perkins and Victor J. Perkins. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memories, his wife, Rebecca Perkins; his two daughters, Lolita Frazier and Malaika Perkins; his grandchildren, Latraye Cooper, René Cooper, Jr., Shayon Savoy and Mahali Wade; one great-grandson, Kayden Cooper; his brother Tyrone L. Perkins (Sandra); three sisters, Elsie M. Steward, Dorothy E. May, Vivian D. Freeman (Earl); three sisters-in-law, Ruth Brown, Dianna Wilson and Lorraine of Middleton, MD; two brothers-in-law', Derry Martin and Lonnie Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends, including Robert Collins and George Evans To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of George Earl Perkins, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
