Obituary:
Rosalind Joan Fassett was born on May 28, 1945 to the late Littleton and Mable Fassett in Queenstown, MD. Rosalind was the middle child of eight. She answered the Creator's heavenly call on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 5:20 am after a sudden and unexpected illness at Laurel Regional Hospital, Laurel, Maryland. She was 63 years old.

Rosalind received her early education in the Queen Anne's County Public School Systems. In 1965, she graduated from Kennard High School in Centreville, Maryland. After graduating from high school, she moved to Washington D.C. Throughout Rosalind's life journey, she held various jobs at department stores located in Washington. In 1968, she was employed at the U.S. Postal office where she retired after 32 years of service.

Raised in a God-fearing family, her Christian education began at an early age at Robinson AME Church. She accepted God as her personal Lord and Savior in 2005.

Rosalind leaves to celebrate her victory five siblings, Brenda Fisher, Grasonville, MD, Richard White, Philadelphia, PA., Emily Bailey, Fort Washington, MD, Littleton Fassett, Chestertown, MD, Toni Pulley, Grasonville, MD, and Lillian Fassett, Washington, DC, and Catherine Reynolds, Berlin, MD; one uncle, Thomas Lockwood, two aunts, Gwendolyn Fassett, Berlin, MD, and Mildred Purnell, Centreville, MD; one sister-in-law, Trudy White, Philadelphia, PA; two brothers-in-law, George Fisher and Bruce Pulley, Grasonville, MD; ten nieces and nephews, Rosalind Marshall, Mabel Pinkett, Arnola King, Vanessa Fisher, Michael Fassett Sr., Ronald Hawkins Jr., Craig White, Richard White, Simmone Fassett and Littleton Fassett Jr.; one godson, Gary Richardson, Fredricksburg, VA, and her best friend, Joan Evan, Hyattsville, MD. She also leaves to cherish a host of relatives and friends.
