Drexel Timothy Evans departed this life on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Kent General Hospital. He was 69 years old.
He was born in Smyrna, Delaware to the late Reba and James Brown. He received his education at Smyrna Elementary School and William Henry in Dover, Delaware.
At an early age, he became involved with caring for dogs which eventually became the love of his life. He was the Assistant Veterinarian at Jeter’s Animal Hospital for over 30 years until his retirement for health reasons.
His favorite pastimes included caring for animals, hunting, cooking and watching cowboy movies. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved gardening in the summer time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Priscilla Evans Wilson, and two brothers, James C. Evans and Wendall R. Evans.
He leaves to mourn, seven daughters, Ronah Marshall, and Carlet Stubbs-Clarke, both of Dover, DE; Veronica Stubbs-Mesumbe (Ekiti Mesumbe) of Maryland, Dhonyale Evans, Nicole Evans, and Cassandra Evans of New Castle, DE; Nicole Simmons of Smyrna, DE; and a son, Drexel Evans (Mari Angela Evans) of California; four sisters, Patricia Watson and Gloria Brown both of Wilmington, Lautrica Brown of Smyrna, and Angilica Jacob of Rehoboth, DE; a brother, Lorenzo Evans of Wilmington, DE; eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews,
