Obituary for Alice Mae Gibbs
Alice Mae Gibbs, 66, of Laurel, Delaware departed this life on Monday, July 10, 2017, at her residence. She was born in Selbyville, Delaware on Sunday, May 20, 1951, the daughter of the late William James Hall, Sr. and Rosia Mae Mumford-Brown. She received her formal education in Worchester County, Maryland.
Alice loved cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading her Bible. She was a member of Abundant Life in Georgetown, Delaware. She had been employed by Mountaire Farms in Selbyville, Delaware, did private sitting, and retired from Black & Decker in Easton, Maryland, in 2001.
Alice was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann and Hester; one brother, Charlie; and one grandson Demyra.
Her memory will be cherished by her 2 daughters, Kieshea Dixon Horsey (Larry) and Sumika Dixon (Brady) of Laurel Delaware; 7 sisters, Ellen Rayne of Selbyville, Sarah Garrison of Selbyville, Rosa (Edward) Hall of Frankford, Francis Chisum of Millsboro, Delorse Banks of Georgetown, Libby Kelly of Millville, Shirley (Jarvis) Turnage of Georgetown; 2 brothers, Steven and James Hall of Rehoboth. Alice also leaves to mourn her loss, ten grandchildren, 1 great grand child, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
