Mary Will Thomas peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Genesis Nursing Home in Salisbury, MD. She was born on August 7, 1928 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late John & Maggie Smith.

Mary obtained her formal education in the public schools of Moultrie, Georgia. She relocated to Salisbury, Maryland in 1963 with her husband and family. She worked for several local companies and retired after 25 years from the former Campbell Soup Company, Incorporated in Salisbury, Maryland.

Mary had a way of expressing her thoughts and feelings to all who knew her in a tactful way. Since she was the oldest family member, everyone respected her wisdom and sense of humor.

Mary accepted Christ at an early age and continued to serve until her death. Throughout the years, she served in various capacities as Church Secretary, Missionary, Pastor Aide Committee. In 1990, Mary began serving at West Road Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Jesse Abbott. In 2004, she began serving under Bishop Bobby Weston until she transferred her membership to Dare 2 Dream Ministries. Mary was mother of the church at Dare 2 Dream Ministries where her son served as her pastor.

She leaves to cherish loving memories with her beloved husband, Johnnie Lee Thomas, Sr.; one daughter, Sharlie Mae Quimbley of Albany, Georgia; two sons, Johnnie (Ritha) Lee Thomas, Jr. of Salisbury, MD and Michael (Irene) Thomas of Vienna, MD; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
