Obituary for John Edward Watson

John Edward Watson was born in Dover, Delaware on August 22, 1966. He transitioned from this life on July 4th, in Felton, Delaware.

John received his early education at John Grey Elementary School in Wilmington, Delaware, and graduated May 1986 from Del-Castle Technical High School with a diploma and a certification in auto body.

While living in Salisbury, Maryland, John was baptized at the United Faith Church of Deliverance by Bishop George E. Copeland. John later resided in Wilmington, Delaware where he worked in the auto body department at Bayshore Ford, until he moved to Dover, Delaware, in 1997 to work for Mid-Atlantic Demolition.

John also enjoyed doing carpentry work for Robino Builders and working as a painter at Maaco in Dover. John's favorite pastimes were attending family gatherings, where he was known as the “grill master”, watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, being an avid car enthusiast, and going to the beach. He also loved watching movies and car shows. Most importantly, he was an amazing father.

John is preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna M. Gould; mother, Ruth H. Gould; daughter, Andromeda L. Brown; and uncles William and John Gould, aunt, Juanita Gould. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 21 years, Ahjahfri Watson; daughter, Tamara Isabell, Dover, DE; parents, Elmira (Auntie) and Deweese (Uncle Billy) Keys, Bear, DE; two brothers, Stephan Watson of Newport Richey, FL and Eric (Temeka) Watson of Apollo Beach, FL; one sister, Valerie Watson of New Castle, DE; mother in-law, Shirley A. Isabell of Dover, DE; father-in-law Ernest E. Henry, Jr.; special friends, Rick West, Leotis “Lee” Barlow, Walter Dixon and Roger “Man” Jones; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
